PNRI scientist receives 2023 NRCP Gabay Award
Congratulations to Career Scientist and Head of the PNRI Nuclear Materials Research Section Dr. Angel Bautista VII for receiving the 2023 Gabay Award from the National Research Council of the Philippines.
The award was given in recognition for his outstanding research on the use of stable isotopes for food authentication, particularly for ensuring the authenticity and traceability of honey products in the Philippines.

DOST bares winners of first PH nuclear olympiad
The Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) announces the winners of the first ever Philippine Nuclear Science Olympiad held on the first week of December as part of the 2023 Atomic Energy Week celebration.
Top placer is Neil Kyle Maniquis of Manila Science High School who was awarded the gold medal. Jacob Emmanuel Sadorra of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) Central Luzon Campus got the silver medal while Mohammed Nur Casib of PSHS Central Mindanao Campus won the bronze medal.
The fourth and fifth place went to Jeremiah Auza of the PSHS Central Visayas Campus and Hans Matthew Mestido of the PSHS Western Visayas Campus respectively.
The 1st PNSO is organized to provide a national venue for identifying and training potential participants who will represent the country at the 1st International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO) in 2024.

DOST-PNRI gets highest number of int'l publications at 2023 DOST IPA Awards
Congratulations to the DOST-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) for once again garnering the highest number of international publications at the 2023 Intellectual Property Awards of the Department of Science and Technology!
The recognition for a total of 36 research publications was awarded by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST-PHL) on November 29, 2023 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

DOST’s nuclear agency opens doors for Atomic Energy Week 2023
The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) goes all out as it opens its doors to partners and guests for the celebration of the Atomic Energy Week (AEW) 2023 on December 4-7 at the PNRI grounds in Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
With the theme “Gearing up the next generation towards a Nuclear Philippines”, the 51st AEW celebration is made more exciting by the holding of the first ever Philippine Nuclear Science Olympiad. The tilt, open to junior and senior high school students across the country, offers cash prizes, meals, and certificates to the top five awardees. Moreover, the top placer will represent the country in the first ever International Nuclear Olympiad to be held in August next year.
