Vloggers and media celebrate Earth Day with visit to PNRI, nuclear facilities
Pushing for the increasing role of nuclear energy for sustainable and environment-friendly generation of electricity, several advocates, students, vloggers and members of the media led by the non-governmental organization Alpas Pinas led a celebration of Earth Day on April 22 at the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI).
After brief lectures and a press conference with PNRI Director Dr. Carlo Arcilla and House Special Committee on Nuclear Energy Chairperson Congressman Mark Cojuangco, the group visited several nuclear and radiation facilities at the PNRI compound in Diliman, Quezon City.
