DOST-PNRI features nuclear and radiation tech at RSTW in Bohol
Showcasing the marvels of radiation processing in Central Visayas, researchers from the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) featured nuclear technologies as part of the celebration of the 2024 Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTW) for Region VII from April 17 to 20 at the Island City Mall and Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Among these innovations are the Carrageenan Plant Growth Promoter for increasing the yield of rice and other crops and the Institute's gamma and electron beam irradiation facilities for improving industrial competitiveness.
The event was visited by thousands of students, government officials and other stakeholders, as well as entrepreneurs and potential technology adopters participating in DOST's Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) Summit.
