PNRI bags highest number of DOST IPA awards with 47 int'l publications
Congratulations to the DOST - Philippine Nuclear Research Institute for once again winning the highest number of awarded publications among DOST agencies for the third straight year!
A total of 47 publications authored by 32 PNRI scientists and researchers were each awarded the International Publication Award as part of the 2020 DOST Intellectual Property Awards.
Meanwhile, members of the PNRI Isotope Techniques Section won the DOST Utility Model Award for their work and successful registration of the "Method for Pretreating Alumina for Chromatographic Separation in Radionuclide Generator".
The awards were announced during the 5th DOST Virtual Flag Raising Ceremony hosted by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST PHL), the Philippines’ leading advisory and scientific recognition body.
The DOST International Publication Award is given annually to DOST scientists and researchers who were able to publish their research outputs in Thomson Reuters (formerly ISI) or Scopus indexed journals in the last three years before the year of the nomination.
The DOST Granted Patent and Utility Model Registration Awards are given in recognition of the efforts of DOST technology developers whose technologies have been granted patent or utility model registration in the last three (3) years preceding the award.
The record number of publications is the highest achieved by PNRI as yet, having continuously garnered the awards since the first DOST IPA in 2013. PNRI has also previously won the most number of publications among DOST agencies, having earned the same distinction in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019.
