On-the-Job Training/Internship Opportunities
The On-the-Job Training (OJT)/Student Internship Program offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for undergraduate students in the Philippines to immerse themselves in the world of nuclear science at the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute. Working alongside our esteemed scientists, researchers, and personnel, you will gain invaluable insights into the technical and administrative aspects of nuclear science and technology services, research, and education. While the position is unpaid and does not guarantee employment at PNRI, it can be credited towards your school in-service requirements in collaboration with your higher education institution (HEI).

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria to apply
  1. Must be a bona fide student of a higher education institution in the Philippines.
  2. Must be at least 17 years old at the time of application.
  3. Must be in good academic standing at their current higher education institution.
  4. Must submit endorsement from the higher education institution at which they are currently enrolled.
Application Process
The Nuclear Training Center (NTC) accepts applications throughout the year. To be considered, however, the applicant must submit all required documents on or before the closing date of the OJT/Internship cycle applied for. These documents are the following and can be downloaded from the Downloadable Forms menu :
    1. PNRI/NTC Form 31: Application Form (3 copies)
    2. Medical Certificate (3 copies)
    3. Cover Letter (address to Dr. Carlo A. Arcilla, PNRI Director)
    4. Endorsement from Higher Education Institute (addressed to Roel A. Loteriña, Head of the Nuclear Training Center)
    5. Resume
    6. Transcript of Records or Copy of Grades
    7. Additional documents:
      1. PNRI/NTC Form 25: Agreement Form (must be notarized), and
      2. PNRI/NTC Form 29: Confidentiality Undertaking Form

Applications received after the closing date will not be considered or reviewed. Applications may be submitted via walk-in or through a courier. Ensure that all required documents are complete, as incomplete applications will not be eligible for review. For submissions through a courier, please send your application packet to:

Selection Process
  1. The NTC internship coordinator receives and reviews all applications to ensure they are complete and that applicants meet the eligibility criteria.
  2. The Internship coordinator forwards the application to the appropriate section or mentor specified by the applicant in the application form.
  3. The section or mentor shall confer and evaluate the applicants applying for an OJT/internship position in their area. The applicant/s may be called in for an interview when necessary. The criteria for selection shall be in the prerogative of the section/mentor.
  4. At the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, we are committed to providing equal opportunities to all. We take affirmative action to ensure that discrimination does not occur against an applicant based on race, creed, color, age, sex, nationality, ethnic group, marital status, sexual orientation, religious or political affiliation, disability, or any other classification considered discriminatory under applicable law. The section or mentor to which the Internship coordinator submits the applications may make a verbal offer to an applicant.
  5. The offer is not "official" until the candidate receives a written or e-mail acceptance notification from the internship coordinator. However, this notification is a tentative offer to participate in the OJT/internship program. A final recommendation is contingent upon the complete submission of additional documents: Confidentiality Undertaking and duly signed and notarized Agreement forms.

Due to the volume of applications received, the NTC only notifies candidates who qualify for the position or require an interview. While we may not be able to respond to individual inquiries regarding the status of applications, rest assured that successful applicants will be notified by e-mail within 2–3 weeks after the deadline.
