DID YOU KNOW? Atomic cesium clocks are the most accurate clocks in the world today, telling time by measuring oscillation of energized atoms in an electromagnetic field.
Three such clocks are installed at the DOST-PAGASA, serving as the basis for the Philippine Standard Time (PhST).
Join us as the Department of Science and Technology leads in the observance of 2022 National Time Consciousness Week from January 1 to 7, 2022 with the slogan, “Bangon Pinas para sa bagong bukas: Sundin ang tamang oras”.
The event aims to advocate the observance of the Philippine Standard Time to help in nation building and to support efforts to achieve sustainable development and inclusive growth.
